Summit Academy

By providing an engaging environment in an alternative setting, the Summit Academy will ensure that all students grow academically and socially to become responsible and productive citizens.

Located in the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Goshen, Summit Academy is a voluntary program that provides an alternative environment for students who have difficulty functioning in a traditional school environment. Our staff develops Individual Service Plans (ISP) for each student to help them succeed. Summit recognizes that not all young people learn in the same manner or even have the basic coping skills to succeed in school and beyond.

A low student-to-teacher ratio and varied instructional methods contribute to student success. Summit Academy provides 4 options for the students: 1) All day placement at Summit, 2) Half day at Summit, half day at GMS, 3) Half day at Summit, half day at a Job Site and 4) Half day at Summit. Providing different options allows us to maximize the number of students we can work with. Communication and cooperation between teachers, parents, and students are essential to the program and to student success.
